Uinta Trip Suggestion
My son and I had planned a 6 day backpack trip into the High Uintas, however due to lack of proper equipment (backpack tent, purifier, lightweight sleeping bags, etc.) we have decided to forgo the backpack part and do day hikes.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good base camp area we could setup camp and have access to areas we could day hike into? If so, what areas would you suggest for good day hike options. We are taking along the fishing poles, so suggestions on good fishing spots would be great too.
Thanks,
CNB

Camp just below the bald mtn trailhed. From Kamas side, just above trial lake but below Bald Mtn Pass. Lots of great places from there.
And if you have 6 days, go to the easy readily accessible places during the week for solitude.
