"New" Hike in the Moab Area: Jewel Tibbetts Arch
On a recent trip to Moab, during the drive out to Island in the Sky, I noticed a small BLM sign referencing "Jewel Tibbetts Arch". I found some info online:
http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/moab/..._Tibbetts.html
Has anybody done this hike? I had never heard of it before.Last edited by brettyb; 12-12-2011 at 05:19 AM. Reason: Spelling Error in Title!

Haven't done the hike. A route description can be found in A Guide Book to the Natural Arches of the Moab Area (North) by Chris Moore. The arch is known as Hellroaring Window in that reference. Hellroaring Bridge can also be viewed about a 1/4 mile from the window.

Well, I'll reply to my own OP, a year later. On a return trip to Moab this past weekend, we did the Jewel Tibbetts Arch hike. It was very nice. We didn't bring our Subaru, so we decided to park about half a mile from the actual trailhead, as the road got to be a tad rough. But on a spectacular, sunny, windless late November day, we had the trail to ourselves. Stats were: 2.9 mi, 331 ft elevation gain, 1:23 of hiking time.
