Road to Lime Canyon
Does anyone know about the conditions of the road to Lime Canyon or Slickhorn Trailheads? I'm heading out to one of these trailheads in April and was wondering if a passenger vehicle could get to the mouth of the canyon.
Thanks,
Mary

if there has been any major precip the road to slickhorn can be a gooey mess. if it is dry there is no problem getting to the slickhorn trailhead.
two ways you can get to the head of lime canyon. 1) turn west at MP19 onto the cigarette spring road and go about three miles. just before the trailhead into the top of road canyon you double back to your right on another dirt road and go generally south to the rim of lime canyon. 2) at MP 16 go east on a dirt track, go 1.5 mi. then turn left and follow the track north to the rim. there are at least 2 decent camps. the best is around on the north side of the canyon about 1/4 mile after you cross lime creek headed north.
if you have a high clearance vehicle or a rental you will be ok.But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.
