New to backpacking-suggestions welcomed
Hi, I am kind of new to backpacking. My dad used to take us as a kid, but I married someone who wasn't too keen on hiking, though we did lots of camping. Now, after a divorce, I am rediscovering the delights of hiking. I did a few hikes last summer 5 to 10 miles on my own and liked it so much I want MORE, more, more! I'd love to do a trip to Southern Utah in April (would have to be the weekends of either the 9th, the 15th, or the 22nd). Any suggestions on finding camping/hiking buddies? Perhaps someone here is headed that way and would be willing to let a greenie tag along?
Also, is there any specific weight training I should do to get ready? Right now I just do an overall resistance training for different parts of my body in addition to my cardio. All and any suggestions are gratefully accepted!

Hey Attic,
Step up lunges are always good for the uphill and downhills.livinutoutdoors.com
Don't talk unless you can improve the silence.
The trout do not rise in the cemetery, so you better do your fishing while you are still alive. SGH
