Hi one and all. I moved to Utah from Washington State back in September but it has taken me awhile to get my own computer up and running. I am an avid hiker and peakbagger and have already been doing as many Utah peaks as I can. I completed the Utah county highpoints in 2006 (met Kirt Davis when doing Kings and Gilbert) and am now working on the Utah prominence peaks with 36 of the 83 finished.

I've been very active as a member of summitpost (profile listed as Dean) and am hopeful of meeting like minded individuals here who might be interested in chasing some of the Utah prominence peaks with me. Thanks for taking the time to read this blurb, Utah is awesome.

Thank you for the welcome. What brought me to Utah? A job offer I couldn't refuse. Three days a week and summers off.

Thanks for the welcoming. Much appreciated. Alex, I am a dentist employed by the Utah College of Dental Hygiene. Since I've been here I've had a chance to visit the top of Loafer/Santaquin Peaks, Provo Peak, Mt. Ogden,
Frary Peak, and a bunch in the desert. I really enjoy looking out the window each morning at Timp and Lone Peak. I think I say "wow" every time I do.

Tanya, I can see that you post a lot here. Yes, peakbagging is an addiction but what could be better? My current goal is to make a big dent on the utah prominence peak list and visit places like Coyote canyon, the wave, the other peaks of the Henry range and maybe do some canyoneering. This looks like a good site to belong to. Here's my current map of progress in Utah:

I want to make all the white spots yellow (well, not like yellow snow though)

We are headed to the Wave Sunday morning! Did you see my invite in the group for anyone that wanted to join us? It's too late now. The BLM office is closed for the weekend so I can't get anymore permits.

Good luck on your adventures. I hope we meet up and do one together one of these days.

I don't  really post that much... the boys just pad my numbers so it looks like there are actually women here. :lol8:

right guys :haha:
