spent a day hiking here as well before hitting the strip new years eve. just pulled over and started zig zagging a path thru the maze of rocks first, then wandered down into fire canyon from silica dome fro a bit.

Amen to that! Valley of Fire is unique and managed very well. You can go anywhere you like in the park. Very fragile landscape that creates
swirls and colors out of this world! Lots of car commercials shot there.
