Does anyone here know how to find public domain photos? I'm trying to write for a magazine, and one of their guidelines is "try to send us some information on where to get public domain photos". I'm writing about Mesoamerican Ballgames just in case that helps at all.

You could try Getty Images. I believe that they have some there that you aren't required to purchase a license for the photo.

I don't know if they have anything that would work for you, but they are one of the largest photo houses in the world. So, they might have something.

Yeah, but do they tell you if they are copyrighted or not? These can't have any copyrights on them.

Nope. They do not own them. So it really depends on how you are using them.
