I am coming to hike in the San Rafael Swell at the start of November, and want to car camp. I was thinking about the Temple Mountain area. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Depends on what areas your going to hit, but there are quite a few car camp spots all over that road.

If you don't mind a few people and a couple of extras (water, shower, restrooms) the Goblin Valley State Park Campground. Of course there is a fee.

In the northern Swell, there's a sweet spot about 3/4-mile north of the pictograph panel in Buckhorn Wash. There's a vault toilet there, and several nice sandy spots to pitch a tent. It's only a couple of miles from where Calf/Cow/Pine canyons meet up with Buckhorn Wash, and another 15 or so miles from Little Goblin Valley. Here are a couple of pictures of the place:

About 1 mile west of Temple Mountain camp ground there is an open camping spot on top of the ridge.

The sunrise behind temple mountain is spectacular.
