for some reason i didn't post this here last year, but probably should have as it was backpacking/camping related. i know not everyone reads the canyoneering section, so in case you didn't see it ...
a year ago today, nat and i left on a trip to escalante to camp and do a number of slot canyons. we arrived at the trail head once a major flash flood watch was just going public, thereby missing it. it rained and rained the night of oct. 5 into the 6th massively flooding every tributary of the escalante, as well as the whole of southern utah.
