Former observation station for practice beach invasions
onto Isla Culebra, Puerto Rico.
An old Sherman Tank that pretended to defend the practice beach.
Abandoned by the US Navy; repainted by the locals
and now Flamenco Beach has returned to it proper purpose...toasting buns :cool2:

| From the airplane June 30, 2008 at about 35k feet. By comparing the time of the shot and a GPS track this photo was taken near +61° 10' 37.90", -148° 41' 2.23". Copy and paste that into Google Earth just for fun. When I do that, I can't quite recognize the features in GE compared to the photo, looks like GE's pictures were taken in a warmer summer. |
