| Good shot, Dan. In the 4 days I was around Denali, we had a clear view 3 times. Unfortunately, it was socked in while we were at Wonder Lake (no reflection) and the day we were flying over it (flew around it, no good views of it). |

Not sure if I like this one or not, but putting it out there to see what replies it gets.

When we saw South Dakota and Wyoming in 2005, they were power washing the faces at Mount Rushmore...

LOVE this photo!
Thanks. I couldnt believe the dumb luck of finding a population sign that actually said one with the sun to my back and that lone shack in the background. It was almost too perfect, I saw the compostion in the sideview mirror as we blazed past, hit the brakes at 75ish spun around and got about 3 shots. My battery had died back in the black hills and it managed to get a slight ghost charge on it for me to click it on and snap off a few.
Shot with the D70s and 50mm f1.8 prime lens. |

Hey "Walt", I really dig #'s 1 and 2... #2 being my personal favorite.
#2 almost looks like an HDR... did you shadow highlight it...? Tone mapping...? Let me know what post production you did... I really love the deep rich colors you got.
Wish I could have been there with ya buddy:) |
