The flow was about 4200 cfs. When we left Saturday from SLC, it was coming down HARD....snow! We almost canceled our trip because I was packing my car in snow to go run a river in 45 degree weather. Well we took chances and it sure paid off! The very next day the weather was awesome not a cloud in the sky, the temps were in the low 70 and the river was very forgiving.
This was my wife's first real whitewater experience and obviously the first run through Westwater. I didn't take many whitewater pictures because I was steering the boat, while my wife was holding on for her dear life.
If you have never gone down Westwater, it's one of the most awesomest canyons I have rafted through, though my experience is still in the newbie stage. It's a great class IV run with some awesome big waves, exposed rocks, technical navigation and lots of good people. |

| Nice boat, man. Next time you'll have to borrow my camera mount. It will clamp right on to a bar, and you can film back towards the crew's faces through the rapids. :2thumbs: |
