Hit Kolob earlier this week. Did alright. Caught a half dozen or so. Lost as many. To bad about the size limit and only keeping one fish, or I would have had several about the size of this guy. All the ones that I caught on the two trips were from 14" to 17".
And who knew that there was lobsters in that lake.
:eek2: :2thumbs:

| Kolob has the largest crawdads of any place that I have been. I have been flyfishing with woolybuggers and actually caught crawdads in that small lake. Yes they are very aggressive. I have never heard of a crawdad going after a moving minow immatation, If It wouldn't have happened several times that day, I wouldn't have believed it. |

| Thanks for the report! Were you using flies or lures? I headed out there a few months ago and casted almost every lure in my tackle box and got skunked. I've heard of people catching them with decent success on Wooly Buggers all throughout the Summer. It would be nice (from my perspective) to hear from someone catching them on lures, but either way congrats on the nice fish! |
