For years I would pack stuff in ziplock bags in an attempt to waterproof things. Ziplocks are not very good at this, they leak.

Two versions ALOKSAK and OPSAK.
The difference is that the OPSAK is made of a film that is odor proof.
These are the perfect WATERPROOF replacement for ziplock bags.
They come in many sizes and shapes. They even have one for your M16.
They have TSA perfect dimensioned bag for you travelers.
BTW, since it is waterproof it will no let shampoo leak into your bag.
You can put water in them and stand on the sealed bag and it won't pop open.
They are much tougher and last 10 times longer than any ziplock.
The ALOKSAK material will stretch a long ways before it ruptures so
no worries about something inside jamming through.
The OPSAK material is not quite as stretchy. Its more of a film than
as plastic. But if you need odor proof its the way to go. Keeps rodents out of your pack at night.
