Damn! I opened this thread hoping to see some more controversy!

Cool stuff, though I personally like night pictures to still have some detail in the sky.

That last one is very cool. I mean taking them when there is still some lingering light hanging from the sunset, or the moon providing some fill. It helps define the dark areas a little better.

Something like this, where there is still ambient light in the sky. But, this is all just personal preference. I'd love to see that church lit up with some light in the sky, say 30 minutes after sunset.

I begin work sometime well after sunset :lol8: The problem here, we don't have such nice sky's like you guys are blessed with. Right now there is sooooo much humidity in the air, we don't get those nice crisp shots. That last one is a mediocre humid night. You can almost see the water :lol8:

That's a nice pic you have there :2thumbs: I'll start focusing some nice sunset and just after when autumn rolls around. Nice crisp, cool, clear nights :2thumbs: I will be taking your advice

As of now, I'll just keep looking for neat things after midnight :haha: I'll get that flag pole sometime later when conditions are a little better, again Thanks! :five:

There are cool tricks that can be done with high humidity and cloudy skies, Especially when the city lights reflect off of it. Make for a lot of ambient light. Perhaps just try holding the shutter open a little longer, and I bet you'll find there is alot of detail in the sky that just isn't showing up as well...

I really like the one with the trees and the moon in the middle though. Lot's of atmosphere in it, almost surreal.

The light was coming from a storage place against the humid and cloudy skies. No stars, just the moon, a little strange
