I was out checking on caches saturday and hunted down this one...on a cliff...had to climb down to retrieve...was out in the wilderness on the motorcycle....I didnt realize I must have looked like MadMax to people I ran across.

So where are some extreme caches youve hunted down?

I've always wanted to put a cache at Skull Rapid in Westwater Canyon.

Is it really wilderness if one is riding a motorcycle in it? Just wondering . . .

I made my login simple - 'wliedtke' - wish I could change it and not lose my listing but there you go.
...and if you leave town 5 minutes youre in the 'wilderness' here. :lol8:

I grabbed my gear and about a half dozen of us went after this one. many of them had either never been on rope, or not for many years. Some of the guys wanted to stay at the top but in the end they all ended up rappelling down to it. We even had a cacher form out of town along. He was really thrilled about it!

This was a great descent to a fun cache!

Pic shows Doug Springmeyer descending the face of the rock to the cache location!

cool location for a cache! We have lots up here that you have really climb to, and some that are so remote you have to plan a day just to go 'hunting'

I really need to get back to the GR/RS area to hunt for more of the cool caches!

I remember one on top of the plateau near there (above a bat cave if I remember right) that we hiked up to at sunset!!! AWESOME VIEW! And a full moon to boot! It was SWEET! :five:
