The video really doesn't do the justice to the massive power of the river. But for you who have never been on the river, this might give a nice taste for it. The river ran at 8,800 cfs when we launched. It was a perfect day to run, the southern wind came up closer to the end, so it was nice and hot.
I ran all but Funnel rapid pretty well (at least I felt so), kind of messed up on the Funnel. I really thought the river at this level was going to be more punchy, but I think this is my new favorite level to run Westwater at.
