|
|
Some of ya’ll know me from the other canyoneering group(s) as Canyonette and/or advntr_inxs, and likewise I know some of you!.
Another big “helloooo” to those of you I already know! : )
If you met me at work, you might think I’m one of the most boring people ever! I often say, “I’m bored” numerous times a day. I often “act” bored all day long. I “am” crazy bored most of the time! But, that’s only during the week! Meet me outside and it’s an entirely different story!
I’m only BORED when I’m not playing outdoors!
I’m not really allergic to work as some have speculated. ~ I just don’t like it. Girls just wanna have fun and I just wanna play all day! So living here in ‘gold digger capital of Calif ~ The OC” you’d think I could find a rich “sugar daddy” who would pay for all my cool outdoor adventures and trips around the world…but noooo….I’m only attracted to the outdoorsy, non-materialistic (read poor) guys! Un-like sooooo many OC chicks, I gotta fend for myself and WORK to play!
So here I am day after day, slaving over a hot computer working for my precious weekends!
Oh yeah, so what I’m into is Canyoneering mostly, was caving first but I kinda switched over when I found out how many more canyons there are than caves around here! But I still love caves too! I like rock climbing (don’t do it enough to be good at it though), hiking, mountain biking (but I think uphill sux and I only really like the downhill part).
I just LOVE being outdoors!
Exploring in all forms and fashion is also my cup-o-tea so I’m also keen on exploring abandoned buildings, tunnels, mines, etc.
Oh, and UTAH has got to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever traveled. I spend a lot of time there…I even visit Utah in my dreams sometimes….
So, yeah…that’s it I guess.
Looking forward to the banter, info, entertainment, etc. that this fine website has to offer! Oh and hey, some of the pictures posted here are AWESOME! Makes me wanna run away from here to wherever “that” is!

I'd rather be hiding out in a cave or canyon! : )
but this place will have to do for now....
I'll be hiding out in Escalante tomorrow! Whoo-hoo!!!
I'll think of you Stefan while envisioning all that water you were lucky enough to have witnessed last year?
Thanks for digitizing those memories for the rest of us!
And thank you for the warm welcome guys!

Well lookie here! Nice to have you on the dark side. For those playing along, Randi is great. I had the opportunity to meet her at a Freezefest a couple of years ago and hike Leprechaun with her and a bunch of others. She is fun and energetic. I have always enjoyed reading her posts on the "other" site.
WELCOME! :2thumbs: |

Randi,
Sorry for the late welcome, but... welcome! Great to have ya here... of course, I'm new here myself (< a week), and have only even been hiking for the past year, so I'm basically a huge, all'round noob! :haha:
Anyway, just a hiker myself for the time-being (except for winter, in which case I'm a really bad snowboarder), but you are right: Utah is a gorgeous place: one of the few things that keeps me here! ;-)
Anyway, let you get back to settling in... welcome again!
