I took my two year old to Silver lake for a hike. A perfect place for him to look around and have a good time. I thought about taking him to the Red Pine lakes but didn't. I thought it might be to far for him? We fished for about a half hour (one bite). The fish were jumping all over and they had just planted 2500 fish. I may go back with my float tube on a week night. Really pretty brook too. Well 30 minutes was about all the sitting around that he could take. As soon as we were out of cheetos he wanted to go hike again. This is a beautiful area for a picnic or a Sunday walk. The walk around the lake is amazing and you will usually always see moose in the evening. This is a popular place and that is the only negative. The parking area was an absolute zoo.

Oh, OK, now I know where you're at. That looks like a pretty cool little lake.

All those fish jumping? You should have tried a fly. :ne_nau:
