| That "road" you are on looks like a "route" your friends at SUWA would like closed. Are you sure your not in ARWA boundaries? :nono: |

This is the road to a WSA rather than in one. Actually, I would say that most of the roads around where I live are pretty much like this and rough roads are a fact of life. Should have taken the Pathfinder, but I didn’t think the road would be this rough. This one was just extra sandy. I thought the road was getting too rough, so I backed up to turn around. Backed up right into a sand pit.
I would say that at least 50% of the trailheads around here require 4wd (non Subaru) to get to. I use a (real) 4wd very often.
True that I like wilderness as you point out, but I would never say that all 4wd roads should be closed. |

Just move it to the grass and take a penalty stroke. |

| Sorry you got stuck but seeing the surroundings in the picture I am jealous. I can almost smell the sagebrush and with the blue sky, red sand and cedars I wish I were there, unstuck of course :haha: You better throw a hi-lift jack in the back of the wagon. |

Ahh, bolt a winch in the rear of that thing. It won't take up too much space behind the seats :haha: |

A 4X4 had to pull me out. Doesn't that count? :ne_nau: |
