Sombeech and I were the only two able to make this ride. We met at 6:45am and tried to locate the wasatch crest shuttle. No show by him? Not cool….Anyway we managed to hook up with two other guys that were headed up the canyon. They had a four-bike rack on the back of a jeep so we scored. We planned on taking them back to get the jeep but after they saw how slow we were going up puke hill they bolted. :lol8: They had another car anyway at the bottom, which was great for us not having to go back and retrieve a car. Nice guys! :five:
It was a beautiful day for a ride and actually quite cold riding up in the back of a jeep with no top. Busy day on the trail with lots of bikers. Which is generally fine since the trail is so long. You can stay spread out with ease. We took many pictures and I had to stop and fix a flat. Then we also talked to a few female riders for about a half hour. Trying to recruit them to the site. :blahblah: One of them was particularly fast and I hope they join. We got back to the car in 4 hours and a total of 22 miles. Man was it hot back in the valley. Enjoy the pictures. :2thumbs:
BTW...Several people got a kick out Sombeech's new horn. However other trendy types just looked with disgust. :roflol:

| Hey accadacca & sombeech! Sweet ride pics. I have to admit that I have never seen a sign which says "no bikes allowed on this trail on odd numbered days!" Weird! |

Yeah we should get in the habit of posting that with each TR. I will edit the post. |

SUP pimp? Welcome to the site dude!!! Yeah, fortunately it is only one section of trail at the bottom. You can take another trail on the odd days. I guess to many smoked hikers and they got their way? :blahblah: Still a few around today though. Also the bikers that insist on going the opposite direction of traffic. I tried not to scare them too bad. :lol8:
Hey we need some pictures of trails from your neck of the woods derstuka. BTW...I read that "Dictionary of Mtn Bike Slang" today. A good read! :2thumbs: I think I may swipe it for a post over here. |

I have some pictures from CA, but most are stationary, like parking lot photos or something. I need to take some better ones. On my to do list! I'll see what I have though. Oh, and feel free to use the mtn bike slang...no worries dude! |

| Man, when I clicked "submit" to post that last message, something weird happened and my internet browser started opening and replicating, and didn't stop. I had to shut it off the count at 80! Weird! I have viruscan, and a firewall, and I do regular scans, so I don't know what happened. |

| What can I say? That is some damn GORGEOUS scenery on that trail. Sweet ride? Is that near SLC? Well, within a couple of hours at least. |
