| I want to get a frame for my raft. It's an older maravia. Does anybody have a frame for sale or know any good websites to look for a good used frame other than mountainbuzz? |

We always make our own frames out of lightweight steel tubing. If you have welding skill or a welding friend, a pipe bender, a model or an idea of what you want, and some time this is the best way to go.
Four corners river sports in Durango CO is probably the closest place to pick one up. I can't imagine how someone would ship a frame so pick up is maybe the only option. I have friends who've picked up frames from them and they are nice, solid, and light. See their website riversports.com . Definitely call ahead to order a frame, I think they custom build them. |

| I'm in business! I ended up building one myself, complete with a dog deck. I built it for about $180, then spent almost twice that on just oars! Gear straps in under the decks, I just need to figure out a seat now, other than that it rows real nice. If anyboady has a permit and needs a gear boat. . . . |

| For the corners I used steel cattle-fencing brackets and reinforced the crap out of them, for the supports, same brackets just less reinforcement. Eventually I may replace them with the NRS brackets, but these are plenty beefy and about half the price. |

Have you stopped by Sid's? He has some nice frame kits. You basically buy his corners (aluminum) and then buy fence poles at HomeDepot and build yourself a 300 dollar killer frame.
Check them out on 39th South and about 280 East. |
