Transition Preston, from a company up in Seattle. Its sort of a freeride bike, but i have mine built up with lighter stuff so its not a pain to pedal uphill. Still rocks on the downhills though.

Nice looking rides boyz....Well I guess here is my old dinosaur. It is called a Cadex (made by Giant) It was a high end Giant back in its glory days. A few years ago I tore everything down and replaced everything but the frame. XTR all around and some other nice parts. I Love the bike! But I will have to bite the bullet and get a full suspension one of these days.

I bet I could still take any of you on a downhill.

I ride a 2003 Diamondback Apex.

I am currently saving my pennies for a Santa Cruz Superlight! My body can't take the beating any more, I'm always sore after a big downhill or long ride. I just sold my car (last night) so that's $1200 blings right there!

Cool.

Are you not a fan of disc brakes? I don't have them either, but I've never tried them.

They were low end mechanical disc brakes and weighed alot. Plus the bike shop guy switched them out for Avid 7s for free, which were better and lighter. You don't really need them out here, I'd imagine they are more for Pacific NW stuff?

My hubby has a Superlight and luckily we both ride mediums. So I can take his when he's not riding!

What type of riding do you all do? I'm mainly XC.

Is that the BST Sombeech?

I love to ride cross country and am a fanatic about climbing, in regards to Shans post I need to get up and do some cross country riding up in Logan. Also, the bike that I have noe has disk brakes and I love them, and I had avids before but I don't think I can ever go back to good old normal rim brakes. Sombeech, we need to get a ride together up at snowbasin, I hit it today and it was great!!! :2thumbs:

My type of riding is more aggresive trail riding and a little bit of freeride. I don't mind mixing in a little cross country every now and then, but i would much rather ride downhill than up. Oh, and I love disc brakes too, i would never go back to rim brakes again. They have so much more stopping power, especially in muddy or wet conditions.
