Hey everyone, JPFreek is brand-new to the forum and I just wanted to introduce our magazine to you and say hello. JPFreek is a web-based Jeep and outdoor adventure publication that was started by avid adventurers for adventurers. The forum here at uutah.com is perfect because everything everyone enjoys here is something that each of us on staff is passionate about. We would be thrilled to work with any and all of you if you have a story and/or photos you'd like to share with our readers whether it's mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canyoneering, mountaineering, hiking, backpacking, adventure racing, etc. Drop me an email at fledwell@jpfreek.com, or send me a PM if you'd be interested in sending us some regular content for the magazine. We do plan to go into a print version that will be a quarterly publication within the next 9-12 months. Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading about everyones adventures here on the board. Thanks!

| By the way, sorry about posting my introduction in this thread. I'm obviously a newbie since it should have gone to the newbie section! |

| You don't need to be a freek about Jeeps, just a freek about the outdoors. ;) |

| I wouldn't have guessed a person would ever need a coat while traveling in south Texas. Welcome. |

Thanks everybody. Yeah, actually it gets pretty cold in the mountains of west Texas in the late fall through early spring. The picture on the south rim of Big Bend National Park was at about 7000 ft elevation right before dawn. I think it was somewhere near freezing when my buddy took that shot. By the way, Sombeech: are you the same Sombeech from mountainzone.com?
Thanks again for the welcome, definitely looking forward to contributing here. Take care. |
