Well I headed up to powder mountain today to try out all the new fresh powder, but when I got there the parking lot was already full. I could not believe how many people were there on the mountain. Luckily once I got going everyone seemed to spread out rather well. I think I ended up waiting in line for about 10 min at the most. The sun was out and the powder was deep. There was around 6-8 inch in most parts. It was just tough finding untracked powder to enjoy. Hey at least I got a sun burn

Media blitz on the backcountry avy hazard kept crowds pretty low this weekend...

But today...wow...BDOY by far (that's BEST DAY OF YEAR).

Had to be around 2 feet of fresh, and, even low angle slopes produced facials and ice cream headaches. Where did that come from? I thought after saturday (an "ok" day, 8 to 10" most locations it seemed with a still funky layer underneath) that today wasn't going to be great...but...the snowfall came down at an unreal rate.

Hardly any tracks in the new. Ran into many ol' ski partners and friends. Some ol', same ol'. Feller I ran into (only one on this particular slope) remarked that it may have been the best run of his life...

Watch yer slope angles...
