Millers Kennels (http://www.millerkennels.com/) of Slaterville (near Ogden) is a training kennel that rescues dogs from shelters and pounds and turns them into top notch working dogs.

Here are some dogs that he's rescued and turned into working dogs. Mona, T, Gamble and Joker all came from the shelter I volunteer for.

Here are a few trained hunting dogs ready for adoption! Roger will tell you that spaying and neutering do NOT affect a dog's ability to hunt. Many hunters believe it ruins a dog.

Thanks for the info Shan. I know of a few people that are looking for a good hunting dog. I will make sure they give this guy a call.

Ah hell I NEED a dog. But I am not sure that I can handle it. I want a choc lab or something. My wife would KILL me tho... :twisted:

Our two kids are driving us nuts at the moment. :nod:

How about Charlie the Chocolate Lab mix? He's smaller than an average lab.

That's really wierd, last night I was thinking about this and someone should do this. Great that someone is. Snipping a dog does very little to it's hunting instincts. I might even look into that Chocalate mix-minus the purple scarf.

I just leanred the fee for the trained hunting dogs. $1,000. Well, they have alot of work put into them and all that boarding too.

Charlie - I know him personally! I took those photos. He can go to the Layton Petsmart this Saturday (for an adoption event) if you are pre-approved through his rescue group.

I've done a lot of dog rescue work, and did the same thing with a German shepherd I was trying to adopt out -- sent a picture of him dangling his participle. Showing his goodies. I caught hell for that!

That was one great dog, though. He was about to be euthanized, and I grabbed him from the pound. He was rack-ribbed -- starved. By the time I'd turned him around, he was wild wooly and healthy.
