Just noticed some trails in Google Maps, and after digging around, uncovered them in Google Earth (check Parks and Recreati, on Areas in Earth) The CG listings aren't complete, and at least on Google Maps, they show trails that I've never seen or heard of, so I wonder if they're just using GPS tracks that they've found from people wandering off the beaten path. Those don't show up in Google Earth, and they're missing established chunks of trail I've been on, but all in all I think it's a great addition.
Just thought I'd share in case others didn't know about it.
The section I linked to at the top of this post is where I'll be on Saturday! Just a short section of the Tonto between the Hermit Trail & Indian Gardens. |
