Maybe it's just my bad memory but I thought the Utah Climbing Yahoo Forum had an open membership where anyone could invite from it without permission. All they had to do was join the group and take the list. I think I even invited from it for my Yahoo Groups.

I only contributed two posts two posts to UTAG. The first was saying I discovered the UTAG forum on a post at uutah. The second was asking for help with my avatar. Neither of those two posts contained any spam.

Hoping to get things straightened out.

He was asked about being a caving Mod at uutah, but we never heard back from him. Funny part is if you read his post and swap the names uutah and CaveSpencer it's a lot more accurate.

Interesting. You're being framed! I was a little freaked out by the spam posts. They were SERIOUS spam. I could see you doing something like that here for a laugh, but not elsewhere when the good name of uutah was on the line. (Anybody else see them?)

I think UTAG has some type of securuty issue. I'm happy you mentioned the spam or I would have no clue why I was being banned.

When I went to change mine, I saw your text and realized how strange it would look without mine and I just had to leave it for a little bit. :roflol:

The same thing happened on the UTAG forum before. A new user signed up, and shortly after there was a spam post from his username, bu he didn't actually post it. There is apparently a vulnerability in phpBB that allows this to happen, but only for the last user to sign up. In your case Iceaxe, it just happened to be really unfortunate timing. :lol8:
