|
|
Does anyone else wish that the NBA would get the best dunkers in the League to participate in the Slam Dunk contest?? I mean who wants to see Tyrus Thomas, Nate Robinson, Dwight Howard, and Gerald Green? First of all Robinson shouldn't have won it last year, Andre Iguadola should have but the judges screwed him over.....
I think the following should be in the Dunk Contest:
Vince Carter
Lebron James
Kobe Bryant
Desmond Mason
Dwyane Wade
Tracy McGrady
Shawn Marion
Anyone else agree?? I just want to know who everyone else thinks should be in the Dunk Contest |

Good list. I would also add Yao Ming and Shaquille O'Neal |

| I used to. It used to be a status thing but now some of these super star cry babies are "too good" for the dunk contest. I haven't watched it for a couple of years now. |

I watched it the first couple of years and then lost interest.
I used to really like the 3 point competition, do they still have that? |

| They have the Dunk contest, 3-point contest, and a skills challenge contest they have been doing for a few years now |

| I remember Spud Webb got invited to Slam Dunk competition one year when I was a teenager. I still think that guy is awesome. |

| I agree, the stars should participate in these activities. That's the whole point of all-star weekend. Instead, they've just been trotting out a few spares each year. I think Lebron and D-wade are scared that it will hurt their image. They are supposed to be bad-a's, but if they lost the dunk competition then it would hurt their endorsement image. Just a thought. |

| That makes sense. They have everything to lose and nothing to gain. |

They need to have a few other 'skills contests' - like showing how to shoot your gun at a night club, beating down a bartender, midget tossing. Oh and yeah - how to father illegit kids.
The NBA is horrible. Instead of a slam dunk contest and 3 point contest - how about finding guys who can hit a 15-18' jump shot? Oh yeah- that's right - it's only a Sat-Sun contest - might take a week or two until the NBA can find a winner. |

:roflol: (That really made me laugh)
The cool thing about those kind of skills contest, is that you can have the Pistons and the Bengals compete. It is not often that you can find an even playing field for football and basketball teams. |
