Got a trip planned for the last weekend of February (Feb 24th). So far, the plan is Lomatium in Arches, and Medieval Chamber, or possibly something within the vicinity of Fisher Towers.
I'm camping at the trailhead Friday Feb 23, and going through till Sunday.
Kazak has committed. Others are welcome. Marc? Kyrell? Sign up if you're interested. |

i'm thinkin' that sat might work for me. but i cant commit at this point cause the wife is out of town for most of that week, so i'll need to run it by her.
i'd be interested in doing Lomation w/ a blimp hanger exit on sat.
most likely my wife will want to come too if i can make it work.
she loves the furnace, and the last time i went there without her i was shamed w/ heavy guilt... :nono: |

Well, it's not hard to explain. Just a heavy set lady pushing her buggy through the grocery store. The mundane can be fun on an outdoor forum.

^^Update^^
I just got back from hiking around in the Fiery Furnace in Arches. I wanted to find the entrance to Lomatium before we do it on the 24th. The top secret directions I received were dead on!!! Thanks again to (classified) for doing the legwork on this. Looks like a fun trip coming up!
My friend Dan has also signed up. So far, the group is at three people. |

You doing Lomation on Saturday (the 24th)? I might be willing to do a one day mad dash down to Moab and back since I've wanted to do that one for a while. I have a school clinical thing on Sunday, but that Saturday is one of my precious few days off this month.

Well come on down! The plan is Lomatium on Saturday the 24th, and then either Medieval Chamber or something else on Sunday. We made it from the Fiery Furnace parking area up to the drop-in to Lomatium in about 40 minutes, and the canyon itself doesn't look too long. We could probably be through it in under four hours easy.
Marc may or may not be coming along too. Group size is looking to be around 5-6 people right now (Me, Alex, Dan, Eric, Marc, Marc's wife). |
