Yikes. This shouldn't be in the "climbing" forum.
This should be in the "sport rappelling" forum.
A climber would never rappel that way, nor teach that method.
There's a number of things I didn't like seeing in those videos...but, at least it looks like they were belayed semi safely.
Scout Master, eh? Heavy sigh...
