I have 2 kids and a wife and about 5 min every 6 months to go out and enjoy the outdoors. The whole family loves the outdoors but the baby doesn't dig the rapping yet... So for the mean time we try to get out as often as possible but we all know what that means. I have lived in Utah most of my life but still claim Chula Vista. I used to do it all but anymore I have been spending my time canyoneering and climbing. I have recently gotten my scouts into the sport an they love it. I hope to use them as an excuse to get out more often. I look forward to finding out about all the best places to recreate. On a side note if anyone has built a canoe et me know, we are going to attempt it for our super activity this summer. Thanks

Welcome to the group! I am still up past midnight too. I am holding my 8 month old sleeping as I type this. Fun to get the kids outdoors but its sure not the same as the days when my wife and I could take off together for a week somewhere. :blahblah:

Thats funny because I am holding my 9 month old boy as I type. He has RSV and isn't sleeping to well. It sucks for the little guy, he cant take much and the dr. says grin and bare it. But I know what you mean about it not bing the same anymore. My wife and I used to climb and camp all the time. But life changes and i wouldn't trade it for anything.

Welcome aboard
I am a former Scout Master. I was born in Chula Vista and I have plans for a strip canoe and a good website.
