My son and I just returned from 5 days camping and hunting on the Blue mountains and vicinity.
The hunting was excellent, My nephew (16 year old) had his first deer tag and shot his first deer opening morning.
I passed a couple of small ones and missed one opening day :ne_nau: then took one Monday at noon.
Derek (my 14 year old) had his first deer tag and made a perfect 150 yard shot (open sight Winchester 30-30) on Tuesday after an excellent chase on a good two point.
I just spent a few hours making them into steak, roast, burger and of course a bunch of jerky strips ready for the smoker :2thumbs: |
