This has been near the top of my list for a few years and I finally made it on August 13th. It took me 1 hr 40 mins to get to the top. Very beautiful lake. I'm not going to post a TR because it has been done many times before.

lake blanche is nice. i was disappointed that the lakes weren't natural, but dammed. but then i'd bitch even if i was hung w/ a golden rope...

nice loop to go up to blanche than cross over to broads fork to descend, or vice versa.

oh, also i heard that blanche, lillian and florence were all named for prostitutes "back in the day". anyone else heard this story or can verify or disprove it ?
