I hiked up to Grandeur peak to watch fireworks last night. It took me just under 90 minutes to get to the peak, arriving at about 9:50. Amazing view of the valley at night even without the fireworks. Most of the firework shows ended by 10:30, when I headed down, making it to my car at 11:30. I would recommend to go up at night if you've been up there in the day, if you do park on the main road as they lock the gates to the trailhead parking lot at 10:00pm.

I jeeped up Willard Peak one time on the 4th. Pretty cool. I think there were fireworks at Weber High, Plain City, Hooper, possibly even Weber State.

I spent New Years eve 2000 on the summit of Grandeur. It was nice, but not the show you got to watch. :2thumbs:
