This day was a rest day. We began the morning by picking up trash along the Narrows Walkway. We found all sorts of disgusting things left behind (diapers and other unmentionables).
We ate lunch in the Deli next to the Sol Grocery Store in Springdale.
John, Marc, Liz, Tom and I decided Pine Creek would be a fun cruiser. Tom had Liz practice her ACA skills and lead us through the canyon. When we reached the last rappel we had to pretend John and Marc both had two broken wrists and could not make the rappel on their own. I practiced lowering John with a Munter hitch and then Liz lowered Marc. John and I bonded, because when you hold someone else's life in your hands you can't help but feel a connection.
