So my friend and I took our under 5 year old kids to Jordanelle last night. We fished from 8-10:30pm just to the left of the launching marina (the very south one). Once the sun set the fish started biting like crazy, it was great for the little kids to catch 16 fish total. In fact the adults caught only 2 fish, while the kids pulled out the rest, go figure!
Anyways, I don't have a pic of the fish (forgot my cam!), but I am not sure what it is. My friend's wife said it was a smallmouth bass, but it sure looked more like a small carp or something. My dad calls this fish "chap", is there such thing? Do you guys know what it is? We fished with worms and only about 20 feet off shore.
Any ideas? |

There are also brown trout, rainbows, Largemouth, and perch in Jordanelle. Not sure what else might be there. |
