June 21st, longest day of the year, or Solstice.
Summer has begun. We're celebrating by hitting Mueller Park tonight on bikes. We should have plenty of time, with the late sunset. :cool2: |

What ever you do don't go to the Sun Tunnels near Lucin Utah. I made that mistake one year. Boy they were stupid.

I think it's a construction crew that took the day off --- for Solstice.

The Sun Tunnels in northwestern Utah frame the sunrise on June 21, 2002, the longest day of the year.
Quote: Nancy Holt created the Sun Tunnels to align with the summer and winter solstices — there are no spring or fall solstices, despite what the eBay listing says. Arranged in an X, the tunnels — four huge concrete pipes — frame the sunrise and sunset on the summer and winter solstices. Holes cut through the concrete represent the constellations.
Be careful out in the desert, weird things have been known to happen.
