I've always lugged my really warm one around but I'd like to go really lite this year and get a new bag. I forget, how cold does it get at nights?

I would suggest a 20 degree bag, though sometimes during rare occasions it might get colder. Anyway, here is a chart of the coldest temps I've camped for each month. Notice that many were in the Uintas:

I usually use a 30 degree bag. It's very versatile as it can be used in warmer weather and can be enhanced by a liner to lower it's rating.
I have a marmot arroyo which is very similar. it packs down amazingly small. |
