These pics were taken last fall (04). We started right at the Flaming Gorge Dam. I keep forgetting where we get out, but it's about 7 or 8 miles downstream. I think something like "little hole"?
Anyways, this was pretty fun. We were getting a ton of fish, so we really took our time floating down.
We got in the river at 11:00, and ended up pulling out at about 9:00. The last mile of the river was in the dark!
If we went at a normal pace, we would have done the whole run in daylight, but we were staying in some good holes, so that took all day. |

Damn!!!! Nice pics! That looks like a blast! I need a pontoon for this summer. After I sold my boat I really stopped going fishing. Only a few times each year now. It’s hard to go back to the float tube after you’ve been in a boat. I haven’t got around to getting a pontoon. Let me know when you guys go next time. One of these days I hope to pick up another fishing boat too.
My boat!

Yeah, it's fun. My Dad and the boys usually go in the fall, like September, but we really want to try the spring also.
I'll keep you posted. |
