| Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the 270 or 300 short magnums? I am trying to decide between the 270 and 300 short mag and would like a few opinions if anyone has them. The gun would mostly be used for deer and elk hunting. Possibly bigger game every once in a while. Thanks for any info you might have. |

I have shot a 270 and 300WSM, :haha: both sweet rounds (I would like to get a wsm to replace my 300 win mag). Either would be great for deer and elk. For myself I would get the 300 because it can hold a 180gr for elk and 150gr for deer. I have always felt like the heaviest (160 grain) 270 round would be small for a big elk.
