**This trail is featured on the Video Page**
Every year, the first ride on this trail is a butt kicker for me. This time was no different. I'm glad I got it over with, because now I can start enjoying this trail on a weekly basis I hope.
I went up alone, and got to the trailhead at 22nd street at 6:00 pm tonight. There were a few cars there, as you'll see from the pictures. The snow was only on the trail in a couple of spots, and these were on the north faces of Waterfall Canyon and Strong Canyon. I only made it up to Strong, then came back for a 7 mile round trip. I got back to the parking lot at 8:00, after taking a bunch of pictures (excuses for taking a break).
Here is the Google Earth Location tool to take you to the 22nd St trailhead. Click Here.
Enough BS :blahblah: , here are the pics. |

And the rest.
I ran into the Via Ferrata (climbing wall) right by the bridge in waterfall canyon. Actually, what I saw was the practice wall. Up another 30 minutes is the big wall. It's about 30 feet from the bridge, and about 10 feet off the trail. More pics on this are in the Climbing section Here |

| WOW! That trail is really in good shape. You picked a great day to ride since the rain is on the way. Gets me pumped for some riding! |

Yeah, since I woke up to rain on the driveway this morning. |

| By the way, this trail will make excellent helmet cam footage. I'm going to wait until it greens up a bit, and that I can have somebody moderately fast to follow with the camera. |

Yep, it was excellent. Better than I expected.
I don't trust the internet weather forecasts anymore. It's supposed to be pouring right now. Nope. |
