Been reading here for the last couple of months. Finally signed in.
Love packing but it is second to fly fishing- I decided a few years ago to combine both as much as feasibly possible------------- so I do. I spent many a day in Wyoming and north but found out 2 years ago that Southern Utah is a wonderful place to be. Hopefully you will lead me down the path to lighter hiking though I have done a pretty good job over the last couple of years of cutting the load- started with my hiney |

Howdy, welcome.
I like the comment about your hiney, I have been thinking the same thing, I could drop 20lbs off my load without touching my pack.
When it comes to a lighter pack, I have found only two options: spend more money, or do without.
Camping gear is cheap, light camping gear is not. |

One piece at a time. It takes a while so I do without or lug the old heavy stuff until I can upgrade it.
You're so right though, it ain't cheap. |
