hey all,
thought i'd share a little day trip we took out to the spiral jetty.
day consisted of: Golden Spike museum, Spiral Jetty, and Rocket display at Thiokol. nice and easy family fun day.

water level for jetty was 4195.3 which was just about perfect.
thanks shane for the handy daily water level link (climb-utah.com)

You did hit the perfect water level. A couple of feet one way or the other and its not as cool. :thumb:

Gloden Spike is fun. Did you drive the two Auto Tours?

FYI: you can just keep adding pictures to your orginal post and all the pics will be contained in one message. After you hit the attach button anther one attach button appears. Just keep loading.... only secret is to load in reverse order because the first picture attached will move to the bottom of the message.

Here are a few neat pics from the jetty:

We checked it out last year and I thought it was super cool - something about it that seemed kinda mystical to me. I really liked it.

OK. Here's a question from a non-native: How was the jetty made? After years of being underwater it looks natural but, so concentric!
