A brother of a recruiter at the Guard base shot this deer on the muzzel
loader. I believe it was somewhere near Spanish Fork. The interesting
thing was another guy in their hunting party shot the deer a month
earlier with a bow. You can see the arrow still in the head right below
the eye.
The portion of the arrow that exited the deer broke off.
I just thought it was amazing to see that the deer went a month with
this arrow in it and was still running strong. The deer was shot in two
totally different places on the mountain. |

| I've actually seen this same deal happen a couple of times with arrows. A similar incedent was why I finally stopped hunting with a bow. I know I'm guilty of sticking at least one arrow in a deer that ran away. I just didn't feel it was fair to the animal to hunt with a bow anymore. Not preaching, cause I still love to hunt, I just don't do it with a bow anymore. |

| It takes a great deal of skill with an arrow. More than I have.... I hope the animal lovers stay out of this area. I guess they should read that it is called "hunting". |

Yeah, by the title, you can assume that something's getting killed. |
