Spent another night in Denali National Park last night. This summer is really starting to wear me down. It is the last day of July, and it was 48 degrees. Rained some more. I slept at Wonder Lake, and wondered what in the hell I was doing… Colorado Plateau, sometimes I miss you.
Hey, at least a couple of bears showed up...

isn't it amazing how secure you can feel inside two thin walls of nylon? good thing the bears have never heard of "pigs in a blanket".
camped at wonder lake? put in a canoe there and float down the bearpaw river and then take a turn up the kantishna river for a mile or so and you will come to 7 acres i bought years ago. its just about 15 miles north of the park boundary. |

| Funny that I am watching Animal Planet right now and the show is about bear attacks. Nice!!! Yes I bet you miss our Indian Summer we are having right now, but Alaska is quite an amazing place. Enjoy it!! Colorado Plateau isn't going anywhere. |

Oh my. I saw this on Animal Planet tonight. The dogs and cats look so cooperative while getting their Peticure during the commercial.....however, something tells me an Alaskan Grizzly may not respond the same. :lol8: |
