There is a local monolith with a great big pothole it in just north of Monticello and just off the highway called Jail Rock. There is lots of great repelling in the area and this site is just a fun place for a picnic.

These pictures don't quite show how big the monolith is. It's pretty impressive. It had just rained so there was lots of water in the pothole. One of the fun things to do in the pothole is to see if you can run around it without falling down into it. The sides are sloped pretty good but if you are fast enough you can make it. If not.....splash!! (into about 3 ft of water).
