If you can put your fragile male ego back in your pants, you stand to save a boatload of cash in fuel costs.

Quote: Virtue may be its own reward -- but as any self-respecting Prius Progressive can attest, the payoffs of hybrid ownership don't stop there. Beyond the gas pump savings, the tax breaks, the entree to carpool lanes, the freedom to park without feeding meters and the aura of cool kinship with Hollywood hybriders such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, comes something more visceral.

I didn’t buy mine to make a political statement. I got it to save money. With school I drive about 400 miles a week, which isn’t a lot to some but it was to me. I keep pretty detailed mileage records. So far I have had my Prius for almost four months and if I had driven the same distances in my 4Runner I would have spent about $700 more in gas.

Now I drive my 4Runner on the weekends on trips or when I need the space. And the other 97% of the time when I am on the freeway in the city I drive the Prius.

I think the technology is cool plus I have always been a Toyota guy. I don’t think Prius hybrids are the answer to the problem of oil dependence. Or that they are any more eco-friendly then other cars. They are just more efficient at using the same evil gasoline.

My wife has had her hybrid Camry longer than I have had my Prius. I can never remember anyone ever giving her shit for owing a hybrid. But as soon as I got my Prius all sorts of people have given me two bit comments about it. I never realized driving one would make me an object of someone’s ridicule against greenies. After all, it’s just a car.

My BioD is looking cheap these days. But I'm going SVO in a few weeks.

"Welcome to McDonalds, may I take your order?"

"Sure, filler up with non-hydrogenated oil from the fryer please".

"Of course and thats free today, thanks for taking it."

"Any time".

My F250 is getting cheaper to drive every day.

Only problem is the girls following me around are not exactly svelt.

I'm surprised you weren't offended by him saying laid :haha:
Here, let me see if I can offend you on this one and keep your streak alive. The Prius is a girly car. This is the reason guys get their balls busted for driving one and really gets the jokes flying when they attempt to defend why they are driving such a girly car. So, when a guy is driving the Prius the only thing he's missing is a *o*k in his mouth :lol8: Now that's funny :lol8: I heard that joke today :lol8:

Gosh......I would think the car was actually named for men since the name "Prius" brings to mind (at least mine anyway) the Greek god of procreation "Priapos". :ne_nau:
