The wife and I are planning on heading up Mt. Naomi after work on Monday for a memorial for a fallen friend. Anybody know if we'll need snowshoes to reach the summit? We were up at Tony Grove on Saturday and it was clear except for the rare shade spot. Given the meaning of the hike it is important that we reach the summit, but I hate to needlessly carry the 'shoes all the way. Thanks.

To answer my questions... no, the trail is not clear. Snow covered about 10% of the trail mostly up high. It's packed and you can walk on it so 'shoes were not needed, though crampons might've been nice in a few spots, mostly descending. The toughest part was finding the trail. We ended up just bushwacking up the last bit as we hadn't been there before. Just point and shoot at the highest point. It's very green and the wildflowers are out in full-force.
