Based on location and video, canyoneering.

That's what I thought. I was wondering if there were climbing routes that might use this route as the way back down. |

Only in the winter (!).
There's a fair bit of rock climbing on both sides of the icicle. But, those routes have separate rappel lines that go down not in the stream course.
Quite good routes for some of them. Daddy Long Legs, Rivers' Edge, etc.

Josh and I are looking at this again. Thursday or Friday, likely Friday. Anyone available and want to give this a run with us? Prefer someone with experience (even better if you have been down this before) and own gear.

I've got to work on Friday. Though I've got Thursday off.
Good luck, & write a good TR. |

While out climbing this evening we decided Thursday is going to work best for us. Early start and back in time for De La Soul at the Gallivan Center. Only Me, Josh and Cody.
You interested? |

Yes, what time are you thinking?
How do you plan on belaying at the exposed downclimb section & rope work on the narrow hanging stance at rappel 4 & extending the anchor. |

Josh, Cody and I did descend the Great White Icicle successfully yesterday. No rescue needed! :lol8:
Full trip report to come; I'm tired tonight & having some issue getting my computer to recognize my camera. |
